Are there fallen fairies like there are fallen angels? I imagine so. I am not an expert on fairies but this guy is my idea of a fairy gone to the dark side. I created him in a recent needle felting class at the Society for Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh. I picked up a lot of new skills and another doll came to life. As I created him I realized that it will be one of the 4 dolls I am making (forever!) for the online Barb Kobe class I'm taking. I think it screams for some rusty, jagged embellishment so check back . I've included some sketches, too, something I only started doing in my doll making.
And, let's go ahead and count this one as part of the 100 Art Doll Challenge. This is only doll number 3! Geez, I better get moving!

I took that same "healing art doll class" with Barb. It was wonderful and I learned so much from it--about me and also the creative process. I can't recommend it enough. Blessings on you healing journey!!!
There's the fairy who put the curse on Sleeping Beauty. I found this site about fairy lore:

I love your concept of the bad fairy!
Hi - your blog is wonderful! I've only started on the path to felting (I felted an egg!) and was so excited about it I will have to give it another go. I just love the 'bad fairy!
Also wanted to thank you for putting me on your creative inspiration list - I feel deeply honoured! Blogging is still a learning curve for me, but when I work out how to do it you will definitely be on my 'beautiful bloggers' list.
I will follow your blog as I too believe art and creativity is wrapped up with our spirituality and is a wonderful aid to healing,
blessings to you, Lara
