What do we leave our children?

When I was creating this doll, digging through all my rusty bits and pieces, I had pause to think of what we do to our world. We litter, we war, we argue, we sue, we pollute mind, body, and earth. WE RUST! What is it we leave to our children? In 100 years from now will our idea of a beautiful bride be this doll?

Post Apocalypse Bride is an altered porcelain doll covered in polymer clay and adorned with found objects. She hangs from a wire above her head. She is 4" to 5" tall.

Hi Joyce,

I found your blog through Tammy's and I'm thrilled to see some familiar 'faces' in the land of blogs. I have had a wonderful journey through your posts - some incredible works of art.

A few of your dolls are reminiscent of some of the dolls created by Gris Tello and I love her stuff.

I'll check back often to track your creations.
